Crisp Coated Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. frying chicken, cut in serving pieces
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Dip pieces of chicken in buttermilk and drain.
    Combine flour, salt and pepper in paper bag.
    Place one piece of chicken at a time in bag and shake well to coat evenly with flour.
    Fry chicken in deep hot shortening until chicken is brown and crisp, 10 to 12 minutes.
