Chewy Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter, softened
    1/2 c. lard, softened
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    2 eggs
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. quick cooking oats, uncooked
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1/2 c. flaked coconut
Preparation
    Cream butter and lard in a large mixing bowl; gradually add sugar, beating well.
    Add eggs and mix well.
    Combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt in a small mixing bowl; add to creamed mixture, stirring until well blended.
    Add oats, pecans and coconut, mixing well.
    Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto lightly greased cookie sheets.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 6 to 8 minutes.
    Remove from cookie sheets, cool on wire racks.
    Yields 10 dozen.
