French Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1 3/4 c. granulated sugar
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    3/4 c. milk
    1 can cherry pie filling
Preparation
    Melt butter in medium size baking dish.
    Mix flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder and milk together.
    Pour into baking dish. Spoon cherry pie filling over batter.
    Sprinkle with remaining 3/4 cup sugar.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
    Serve plain or with whipped cream or ice cream.
