Apple Walnut Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 to 5 medium Granny Smith apples, sliced
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. apple pie spice
1/2 c. chopped walnuts (pecans can be used, if desired)
2 Tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2/3 to 1 c. granulated sugar
2 deep dish pie crusts
Preparation

In a small saucepan, melt butter.
Add brown sugar; mix until smooth.
Pour into a 9-inch pie plate, making sure that bottom of pie plate is covered with mixture.
Sprinkle nuts on top of mixture.
Place one pie crust on top of this mixture of butter, brown sugar and nuts.
Place sliced apples on top of pie crust and set aside.
