Rhubarb Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. light brown sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 egg
    1 c. sour milk
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. raw, diced rhubarb
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. melted butter
Preparation
    Combine brown sugar, shortening and egg.
    In another bowl, combine milk with vanilla.
    Add milk mixture and sugar mixture alternately to flour, beating well after each addition.
    Fold in rhubarb and nuts.
    Turn batter into 2 greased and floured loaf pans.
    Sprinkle with sugar combined with melted butter.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 to 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until done.
