Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    green onions, chopped
    water chestnuts
    celery, chopped
    broccoli, cut
    cauliflower, cut
    frozen peas
    salad dressing
    salt
    shredded cheese
    bacon
Preparation
    In large cake dish, break enough lettuce to cover bottom of dish.
    Place green onions and celery over lettuce.
    Drain and place water chestnuts over green onions and celery.
    Cut broccoli and cauliflower and place over water chestnuts.
    Layer frozen peas over broccoli and cauliflower.
    Sprinkle lightly with salt.
    Cover tightly overnight.
