Cherry Salad(Ambrosia) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can sweetened condensed milk
    1 can cherry pie filling
    1 can crushed pineapple
    1 (12 oz.) container Cool Whip
    1 small pkg. almonds or walnuts (optional)
Preparation
    Drain juice from the pineapple and put in a large bowl.
    Add the milk, cherries and nuts; mix well with a spoon.
    Fold in the unfrozen Cool Whip.
    Cover and refrigerate.
    The salad sets well when refrigerated the night before or 4 hours before serving.
