Fried Green Plantains - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 or 3 green plantains
    enough oil to fry
Preparation
    Peel plantains and cut diagonally to 1-inch thick pieces. Heat oil to about 350\u00b0, medium to high heat.
    Fry them for about 7 to 8 minutes, turning them occasionally.
    Remove them and squash them flat.
    Fry them again for another 3 or 4 minutes until they brown.
    Remove onto a plate with an absorbent paper towel.
    Serve with a little salt on top (optional).
    Serve with rice and chicken.
