Grilled Tomatoes With Oregano - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 large tomatoes (ripe)
    1 Tbsp. plus 10 tsp. peanut or vegetable oil
    5 tsp. chopped fresh oregano or 2 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Preheat the broiler.
    Core the tomatoes and slice them in half.
    Grease a baking dish (large enough to hold the tomatoes) with 1 tablespoon of oil.
    Arrange the tomato halves in it, cut side up.
    Sprinkle each with about 1/2 teaspoon oregano and salt and pepper.
    Sprinkle about 1 teaspoon oil over each half.
    Broil for about 5 minutes.
