Yeast Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. warm water
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    2 Tbsp. soft butter or shortening
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm water with 1 tablespoon sugar.
    Add shortening, salt, 1 tablespoon sugar and flour.
    Mix well.
    Pour out on floured board and knead a few times, then cut out and place in a pan.
    Grease top and let rise in a warm place until double in size, about 1/2 to 1 hour.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 until brown.
    Makes about 1 1/2 dozen.
