English Scones - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 oz. flour
2 oz. butter or margarine
1 oz. sugar
2 oz. sultanas (raisins)
3 tsp. baking powder
a little milk
Preparation

Rub the butter and flour until they resemble fine bread crumbs. Stir in the baking powder, sugar and sultanas.
Add the milk to make a sticky dough and turn onto a floured surface.
Knead gently, then roll flat (about 1-inch thick) and cut out circles.
Place on floured baking tray.
Brush with milk.
Bake at 220\u00b0C for 10 to 20 minutes.
Spread with butter and jam to taste.
