Frosted Molasses Creams - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 c. light molasses
    1 c. strong hot coffee
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
Preparation
    Thoroughly cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs and molasses. Mix well.
    Add coffee, then sifted dry ingredients.
    Beat until smooth.
    Pour into greased pan (12 x 18-inch).
    Bake in moderate oven (350\u00b0) for 25 minutes or until done.
    While still warm, frost with confectioners sugar and butter or confectioners sugar with a little spoon of milk.
    Cool and cut in squares.
