Spicy Creamy Grits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. half-and-half or whipping cream
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. granulated garlic
    1/8 tsp. ground black pepper
    1/2 c. quick-cooking grits, uncooked
    2 oz. cream cheese, cubed
    3/4 c. (3 oz.) sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
    1/4 tsp. sauce or red pepper
Preparation
    Bring first 4 ingredients to a boil in a large sauce pan. Gradually stir in grits.
    Return to a boil.
    Cover, reduce heat, and simmer, stirring occasionally for 5 to 7 minutes until thickened. Add cheeses and hot sauce or red pepper, stirring until cheeses melt.
    Serve immediately.
