Sour Cream Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine, softened
    2 3/4 c. sugar, divided
    2 tsp. vanilla
    4 eggs
    3 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. (16 oz.) sour cream
    2 Tbsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    In large bowl, cream butter and 2 cups sugar until fluffy. Add vanilla, then eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    In separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt.
    Add sour cream to butter and egg mixture; mix well. Slowly stir in flour mixture until batter is smooth.
    Spoon 1/2 of batter into a greased 10-inch tube pan.
    Combine cinnamon, nuts and remaining sugar; sprinkle 1/2 over batter in pan.
    Spoon in remaining batter and top with cinnamon/nuts mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes until tested done.
    Cool 15 minutes before removing from pan.
    Makes 16 to 20 servings.
