2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. butter, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. lemon juice (from bottle)
2 c. sugar
3 egg yolks
Preparation

Sift flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt together. Put aside. Cream butter and flavoring together until butter is soft and smooth. Add sugar, gradually creaming until fluffy. Add egg yolks one at a time. Next, add dry ingredients to creamed mixture, beating until well-blended. Form dough into 1-inch balls and place about 2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
