Onion Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine (1/2 c.), melted
    1 sleeve saltine crackers, crushed
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 3/4 c. milk
    6 to 8 large onions, sliced
    4 to 6 oz. grated sharp cheese
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Line a 9 x 12-inch Pyrex with crushed saltine crackers. Place a layer of onions over crackers.
    Sprinkle with a layer of grated cheese.
    Repeat until onions and cheese are used.
