Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 stick butter
1/2 c. oil
2 c. sugar
5 egg yolks
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 small can coconut
1/2 c. chopped nuts
5 egg whites
Preparation

Cream together butter and oil.
Add sugar and beat until mixture is smooth.
Add egg yolks and beat well.
Combine flour and soda and add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk. Stir in vanilla.
Add coconut and nuts.
Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into mixture.
Pour batter into three greased and floured 8-inch pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
Cool and frost with Cream Cheese Frosting.
