Jewish Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

2 c. sugar
1/2 lb. butter or oleo
4 eggs
3 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. soda
2 tsp. vanilla
1 pt. sour cream or buttermilk
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. sugar
Preparation

Cream sugar, butter or oleo and eggs (one at a time).
Add flour, baking powder, soda, vanilla and sour cream or buttermilk. In small bowl, mix cinnamon, chopped nuts and sugar.
Pour half of batter in cake pan; put half of topping onto cake, then add remaining cake batter and top with remaining topping.
Bake in greased 13 x 9-inch pan in 350\u00b0 oven for for 45 to 50 minutes.
