Monmouth County Chicken Pot Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. cooked chicken, diced
2 c. cooked ham, diced
1/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
1/4 c. sifted flour
3/4 c. chicken broth
1 c. light cream
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. chopped onion
2/3 c. sliced mushrooms
1/4 c. cooking sherry
Jersey sweet potato biscuits
Preparation

Place chicken and ham in 2-quart casserole.
Combine butter or margarine and flour; stir until smooth.
Slowly stir in broth and cream.
Cook (200\u00b0), stirring constantly until thickened.
Add salt, pepper, onion, mushrooms and sherry.
Pour over chicken and ham.
Drop sweet potato biscuit dough by tablespoons around edge of hot mixture.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
Serves 8.
