*Baklava("Pita Dulci") - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. phyllo
    2 lb. sweet butter, clarified
    2 lb. walnuts, chopped (not ground)
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Butter a 12 x 17 x 1-inch baking pan. Butter 8 to 10 sheets of phyllo for bottom crust.
    Sprinkle nuts (combined with sugar and cinnamon).
    Sprinkle nuts on every sheet or every two sheets. Top with 8 sheets. Refrigerate.
    Cut into diamonds. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 60 minutes. (After 40 minutes, lower oven to 325\u00b0 for remaining 20 minutes.)
    Pour cooled syrup over hot Baklava.
