Christmas Crunch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. light Karo syrup
    1 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 (12 oz.) box Rice Chex
    1/2 c. slivered almonds
    2 c. coconut
Preparation
    Boil syrup, butter, sugar and salt together for 5 minutes at medium-high.
    Remove from heat.
    Add vanilla and soda; return to heat and cook 2 more minutes.
    Pour over Rice Chex, almonds and coconut; mix well.
    Pour out onto greased cookie sheet (large). Cool, cut and eat.
