Quick Cherry Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. oleo
    1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. almond extract
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
    powdered sugar (to dust over top)
Preparation
    In large bowl, cream together oleo and sugar.
    Add eggs; beat until light and fluffy.
    Add almond extract.
    Stir in flour and baking powder.
    Mix until smooth.
    Butter a 13 x 9-inch cake pan. Pour batter in pan.
    Spoon pie filling with the cake mixture in different places.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes, or until golden and cake tests done.
    Filling will sink into the cake while baking.
    Serve warm with sweetened whipping cream or Cool Whip.
