8 Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head shredded lettuce, sprinkled with salt and pepper
    1 lb. bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
    6 hard-cooked eggs, sliced
    1 box uncooked frozen peas, thawed
    1 medium sweet onion, sliced thin (purple)
    1 c. Hellmann's mayonnaise and 1 c. Miracle Whip, mixed together
    1/2 c. julienne ham
    1/2 c. Swiss cheese
Preparation
    In a 9 x 13-inch pan, layer as follows:
    1/2 head shredded lettuce, bacon, eggs, peas, onion, mixed dressing, ham and Swiss cheese.
    Press down after each layer.
    The dressings will spread thickly over entire surface and top with ham and cheese.
    Cover with Glad Wrap and refrigerate at least 12 hours.
