Sweet Nut Braid - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water
1/3 c. butter
1/3 c. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. scalded milk
2 unbeaten eggs
5 to 5 1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. butter
1 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
1 1/2 tsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation

Soften yeast in water.
Combine 1/3 cup butter, sugar, salt and milk.
Stir to melt butter.
Cool to lukewarm.
Stir in eggs and yeast.
Gradually add flour to form stiff dough.
Knead 5 to 8 minutes.
Cover; let rise about 1 1/2 hours.
