Down Home Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter
    2 2/3 c. sugar
    3 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    8 eggs
    8 Tbsp. coffee cream
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Separate
    eggs.
    Whip
    whites;
    add 6 level tablespoons of sugar
    and refrigerate until rest of cake is mixed.
    Cream butter and remaining sugar, beating until very light (this is important). Add
    egg
    yolks,
    2 at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour and cream alternately, beating until mixture
    is light. Add vanilla.
    Fold in egg whites.
    Bake in greased
    and
    floured tube pan at 300\u00b0 for about 1 hour and 25 minutes or until done.
