Famous Pretzels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 packet dry yeast
    1 1/2 c. milk or water
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. margarine (1/2 stick)
    4 c. flour
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in milk or water.
    Add sugar, salt, margarine and flour.
    Mix all ingredients with a wooden spoon.
    Cover and let rise in warm place for 30 minutes.
    Form pretzels; brush with slightly beaten egg or a little egg white with a few drops of water.
    Sprinkle with coarse salt and bake at 425\u00b0 for 15 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
