Spider Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1 3/4 c. milk
    1 c. cornmeal
    1/3 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
    Melt shortening in frypan placed in oven.
    Beat egg; add 1 cup milk.
    Stir in cornmeal, flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.
    Turn into frypan with melted shortening. Pour over remaining milk.
    Do not stir.
    Bake 25 minutes at 425\u00b0.
