Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 c. buttermilk
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Thoroughly cream the shortening and sugar; add eggs and vanilla and beat well.
In separate bowl, sift together the flour, soda and salt.
Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk.
Pour batter into loaf pan.
Bake in a preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour.
