Banana Nut Loaf - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. soft shortening
2 eggs
3 Tbsp. buttermilk
1 c. mashed ripe bananas
2 c. sifted Martha White self-rising flour
1/4 tsp. soda
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Hat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease an 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch loaf pan.
Mix together thoroughly sugar, shortening and eggs.
Stir in buttermilk, mashed bananas and flour, then soda and fold in chopped nuts.
Turn batter into prepared pan.
Bake 50 to 60 minutes.
Cool in pans for 10 minutes.
Remove and cool completely.
