Corn Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. warm water
    1 pkg. yeast
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. melted shortening
    dash of salt
    1 egg, beaten
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 c. whole kernel corn
Preparation
    Measure water into large mixing bowl.
    Add yeast.
    Stir until dissolved.
    Stir in sugar, shortening, salt and egg.
    Add flour and beat until smooth.
    Cover.
    Let rise in warm place for 40 minutes.
    Stir down.
    Stir in corn.
