Forgotten Short Ribs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 lb. short ribs
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 can tomato sauce or 1 bottle tomato catsup
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. minced onions
    1 tsp. liquid smoke (if desired)
Preparation
    Salt and pepper ribs.
    Put in Dutch oven.
    In small pan combine remaining ingredients.
    Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
    Pour over short ribs.
    Cover and bake at 275\u00b0 for 4 hours or until tender.
    Spoon off excess fat prior to serving.
