Sweet-Sour Red Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. shredded red cabbage
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 apples, chopped
    1/4 to 1/3 c. vinegar
    1/2 tsp. caraway seeds
Preparation
    In large frying pan, combine all ingredients; mix well. Cover; simmer 25 to 30 minutes or until cabbage is tender.
    Stir several times while cabbage mixture is cooking.
    Serves 6.
