Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. molasses
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. cold water
    4 1/2 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. soda
    1 Tbsp. ginger
Preparation
    Cream shortening with sugar.
    Add beaten egg, then molasses, vinegar and cold water.
    Sift flour, soda and ginger and add to first mixture.
    Stir in as much of the flour as you can and knead in remainder.
    Roll out.
    Cut in desired shapes.
    Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350\u00b0.
