Vegetable-Lentil Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. lentils, washed
1 qt. water
2 1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. chopped onion
2/3 c. chopped green pepper
1/3 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. chopped pimentos
1 (1 lb. 14 oz.) can tomatoes
1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
-
Combine lentils, water and salt in large saucepan.
Cook, covered, over medium heat for 30 minutes.
Cook onion and green pepper until tender.
Combine all ingredients.
Simmer, covered, for 30 minutes.
Makes 6 large servings.
