Pecan Pie Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 (6 oz.) toffee flavored chips
    1 (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
    1/2 c. powdered sugar
    1 egg
    pinch of salt
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    In a mixing bowl, combine flour and sugar.
    Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse meal.
    Press firmly into a greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    In a bowl beat milk, egg, vanilla and salt.
    Stir in toffee chips and pecans; spread evenly over baked crust.
    Bake for another 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned.
    Cool, then refrigerate.
    When thoroughly chilled, cut into bars.
    Store in refrigerator.
    Makes 4 dozen.
