Date Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. chopped dates
1 stick butter
2 egg whites
2/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. crushed vanilla wafers
1 c. chopped pecans
1 can coconut
Preparation

Cook dates, butter, yolks, sugar and vanilla in heavy saucepan.
Stir continuously until boils.
Boil 5 minutes.
Watch closely, will scorch.
Remove from heat.
Add vanilla wafers and nuts.
Shape in rolls.
Roll in coconut.
Keep in refrigerator. Slice when ready to serve.
