Icebox Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. cucumbers, sliced
    1/4 c. salt
    3 c. sugar
    2 large onions, sliced
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. turmeric
    1 qt. vinegar
Preparation
    Heat vinegar until salt and sugar dissolve.
    Cool and pour over cucumber slices, onions and spices.
    Refrigerate.
    Will be ready in seven days.
