Stollen - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. active dry yeast
1/4 c. warm water
1/4 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 c. milk
4 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. chopped almonds
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped candied red and green cherries
1 c. powdered sugar
2 Tbsp. hot water
sliced almonds
Preparation

Sprinkle the yeast over the warm water in a small bowl; add a pinch of sugar, stir to dissolve and let stand for 5 minutes.
