Ingredients

1 c. margarine
1 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
2 1/2 c. Quaker oats (quick or old fashioned)
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 c. coarsely chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation

Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Beat butter or margarine and sugar until creamy.
Add eggs, milk and vanilla; beat well.
Add flour, baking soda and salt.
Mix well.
Stir in oats, chocolate morsels and nuts.
Mix well.
Drop by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 9 to 10 minutes for a chewy cookie or 12 to 13 minutes for a crisp cookie.
Cool 1 minute on pan, then remove and cool completely.
Makes 5 dozen.
