Swedish Heirloom Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening (1/2 butter)
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 c. powdered sugar
    1 1/2 c. ground nuts
    1 Tbsp. water
Preparation
    Cream butter; add sugar gradually, then salt and nuts.
    Blend in flour and mix thoroughly.
    Add water and vanilla.
    Mix thoroughly with fork.
    Shape into balls or crescents.
    Bake in greased sheet.
    Flatten slightly.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
