Cole Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head of green cabbage (10 c.), shredded
    1 large bell pepper, cut in thin strips
    2 medium Spanish onions, cut in rings
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 c. white vinegar (or garlic flavored wine vinegar)
    3/4 c. salad oil
Preparation
    In a large bowl, make layers of cabbage, green pepper and onion.
    Sprinkle 1 cup of sugar over top.
    In a saucepan, combine the remaining ingredients.
    Mix well.
    Bring mixture to a full boil, stirring constantly.
    Pour over slaw.
    Refrigerate at least 4 hours (best overnight).
    Mix well.
    (Will keep for weeks.)
