Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. (2 sticks) butter
    1/2 c. Crisco shortening
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3 1/2 c. plain flour, sifted
    1 c. milk
    5 eggs
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. lemon flavoring
Preparation
    Cream the butter.
    Add Crisco, milk and eggs; blend.
    Add flour, salt, baking powder and sugar; beat well with mixer 2 to 3 minutes.
    Pour into well-greased and floured cake pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour, then at 275\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
