Green Beans Supreme - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. frozen French-style green beans
    1 small onion, sliced
    1 Tbsp. snipped parsley
    3 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. finely shredded lemon peel
    1/2 c. milk
    1 c. sour cream
    1/2 c. shredded American cheese
    1/4 c. fine bread crumbs
Preparation
    Cook green beans; drain.
    Cook onion and parsley in butter until onion is tender.
    Blend in flour, lemon peel, 1/2 teaspoon salt and dash of pepper.
    Add milk, cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
    Stir in sour cream and cooked beans; heat until just bubbly.
    Spoon into 1-quart casserole.
    Sprinkle with cheese.
    Melt the remaining butter; toss with bread crumbs and sprinkle over beans.
    Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat until cheese melts and crumbs brown, 1 to 2 minutes.
