Fresh Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 medium apples, chopped
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. melted shortening
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. seedless raisins
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Pour sugar over chopped apples; let set 10 minutes.
    Mix eggs and shortening.
    Add dry ingredients, raisins and nuts.
    Stir in apple mixture.
    Batter is stiff.
    Bake in a greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan at 375\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
    Needs no frosting.
    Cool before cutting.
