Corinne'S Famous Pea Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, chopped
    salt, pepper and sugar
    6 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
    1 lb. bacon, crisp cooked
    8 oz. shredded Swiss cheese
    1 c. Hellmann's mayonnaise
Preparation
    Place 1/2 head of lettuce on bottom of bowl.
    Sprinkle with salt, pepper and sugar.
    Layer eggs atop lettuce in bowl.
    Add more salt.
    Layer as follows:
    Peas, remaining lettuce, bacon and Swiss cheese.
    Spread mayonnaise over top, sealing to edge of bowl.
    Cover and chill 24 hours.
    Toss before serving.
