Cheesy Scalloped Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head cabbage, cut into small wedges
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. flour
    2 c. milk
    2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese (8 oz.)
    1 c. soft breadcrumbs
    dash of nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Cook cabbage in small amount of water until tender; drain well.
    Melt butter over low heat; add flour and cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
    Gradually add milk; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick and bubbly.
    Stir in spices.
