Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. cider vinegar
1/4 c. water (from canned beets)
2 Tbsp. butter
1 can sliced beets (about 2 c.)
Preparation

Mix sugar and cornstarch; add vinegar and water from beets. Bring to a boil and simmer 5 minutes.
Add beets and simmer 30 minutes.
When ready to serve, bring to a boil and add butter. Serves 4.
