Old-Fashioned Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs
    2/3 c. milk or water
    2 tsp. nutmeg or vanilla
    6 to 7 c. self-rising flour
    2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 sticks butter
    1/2 tsp. almond
Preparation
    Sift flour in a large bowl.
    Make hole in center of flour and put in all ingredients in the hole.
    Work up as you would for biscuits.
    When all is mixed together, roll out on floured paper and cut.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until brown.
