Lime-Sweet Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 1/2 lb. cucumbers
    1 c. lime to 1 gal. water
    2 tsp. whole cloves
    2 qt. vinegar
    2 tsp. celery seed
    3 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. mixed spices
Preparation
    Soak cucumbers in lime water for 24 hours.
    Rinse in clear water several times.
    Soak in clean water for 3 hours.
    Drain. Mix the cloves, vinegar, celery seed, salt and mixed spices; pour over pickles.
    Let stand overnight.
    Heat to boiling and put into jars.
