Southern Sweet Tea - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. water
1/8 tsp. baking soda
4 small tea bags
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 c. sugar
Preparation

Bring the 2 cups of water to a rolling boil. Drop the tea bags in the water and then the soda. Cook about 1 minute. Cover with lid and remove from heat or just turn the burner off. Let steep (sit) for about 15 minutes. Put sugar in a 2-quart pitcher and pour hot tea in and stir to dissolve. Add enough cold water to fill the pitcher. Add the lemon juice and serve over ice.
